Chicago Cinema Society in association with our wonderful friends at The Logan Theatre presents the CHICAGO PREMIERE of the film festival horror hit “Excision” Friday, October 12th and Saturday, October 13th!
“Life sucks when you’re seventeen. Alienated teen Pauline (AnnaLynne McCord) struggles with the pressures of fitting into high school, pleasing her parents and a burning desire to lose her virginity. With a grotesque curiosity for the darker side of life, Pauline is considered a social outcast by everyone around her. Enticed by flesh, she retreats into her own fantasies and hopes to become a great surgeon…that is if she doesn’t go mentally insane first.”
Dread Central calls it a “harrowing coming-of-age horror film,” and Sound on Sight says “Excision” is “”…a grand guignol nightmare orchestrated with the creepy elegance and jaw-dropping precision of Dario Argento finest moments.” And perhaps the highest possible recommendation: “”Walmart refuses to sell Excision. Movie deemed too controversial.” Check out the trailer below! We hope to see you then. (WARNING: TRAILER IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK)
